President Goodluck Jonathan and the
President-elect Muhammadu Buhari are set to clash over the May 28
handover date. Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC)
are uncomfortable with the date proposed by the out-going
administration.
They accused President Jonathan of
trying to conveniently excuse himself from the May 29 ceremony where he
is to play an active role.
They stated that if President Jonathan
hands over on the 28th, who will account for the hours before the
morning of the 29th when the Chief Justice of the Federation is to
administer the oath of office and the oath of allegiance on Buhari.
