At
least one person has been confirmed dead, while several others were
injured in the Ogudu Ojota area of Lagos State after some hoodlums went
on the rampage.
PUNCH Metro learnt that there was heavy gun fire in the area as the hoodlums vandalised some vehicles parked by the roadside.
The incident happened on Sunday evening on Alhaji Abbas Street.
A resident, Bukola Osunde, said trouble
started immediately the result of the governorship election for the
state was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Akinwunmi Ambode, was declared the winner of the election.
