At least 78 students were killed and nearly 45 children were injured
when a bomb exploded in a school yard in northeast Nigeria yesterday
morning 10/11.

Police
sources said the bomb exploded at around 7:30 am local time in a secondary school in the capital city of
Potiskum Yobe state.
The explosion happened right at the beginning of
the week when around 2,000 students lined up under the
schoolyard for the assembly.
The surviving witness said the bomber was disguised as a school student and a bomb concealed in a backpack.
"A
loud bang and dozens of students were killed, many of them
wounded," a spokesman for the National Police Emmanuel Ojukwu said. The number of victims that was transferred to the
hospital was so much, "an employee of the Potiskum General Hospital
described the atmosphere in the hospital for reporters.
According to this person, many students may be cut off a body part due to his injuries.
The
bodies of 78 students aged 11-20 were also taken to the hospital morgue
waiting to identify the bodies. Many children have been burnt very
difficult to recognize.
